New! A Grassroots Advocacy Guide for Canada

We are proud to announce that we have a new guide for advocacy efforts in Canada. Adapted from NAMM’s excellent guide in the U.S., the Canadian version reflects content and resources pertinent to our needs. Our thanks to both NAMM and Support Music for their cooperation in the production of the Canadian version, and to the Canadian Music Industry Education Committee for their financial support in making this production possible. Here’s a step- by step guide to building support for music education in your school and community. This is an indispensable guide for every parent who cares about the importance of quality music programs for their children.

Multiple copies of this guide can also be ordered for your groups. To order copies, please contact Lyla at info@coalitionformusiced.ca. First 50 copies are free to members, thereafter at $1 per booklet. First 10 copies are free to non-members, $1 per booklet thereafter. You can distribute these booklets to your parent/teacher groups. This is a great reason to become a member of the Coalition and support the effort to protect and promote music education for our children. A French version of the booklet will be available late summer 2008.
